Three-Year Capital Campaign to Help Meet Needs of Adults with Disabilities
Since our founding in 1972, Re-Focus, Inc. has become a vibrant, multi-service organization empowering hundreds of adults with
developmental disabilities to live active, fulfilling and productive lives. Re-Focus is a 501c3 non-profit organization of 240
dedicated employees who support adults in fourteen group homes and several supportive living environments.
In the recent years, we have discovered a need for expanded Day Program Options including job readiness training, volunteer
opportunities, music and art therapy, literacy, drumming, yoga and dance, nutrition and food preparation. As a result, we have
launched a three-year Capital Campaign to purchase, renovate and equip a state-of-the-art facility that will support these
activities.
For further information, please contact the Capital Campaign Office, 401-272-1600, Ext. 118.
New Employee Contributions Bring Total Participation to 84%
We have now met with all new employees hired after January 2008 and enlisted their support for the Campaign. Forty-one new
employees have pledged a total of $13,000, and also have raised the employee participation level from 78% in December
2007 up to 84%! Thirteen programs have reached between 80%and 100% of staff contributing through payroll deduction.
This shows extraordinary support for the work of Re-Focus and the new Community Center.
In addition, the Re-Focus Management Team has already exceeded its goal of $35,000, and the Administration has exceeded its goal of $20,000.
