Theme Teams

Mind, Body, Spirit Theme Team

The Mind, Body, Spirit Theme Team exists to enhance the mind, body, and spirit of the Re-Focus Family.

Our goal is to promote healthy minds, healthy bodies and healthy spirits in as many different ways as we can, as often as possible throughout the year, for the betterment of the agency as a whole.

We are currently planning quarterly "Health Awareness Days" for staff and folks to experience. We are also developing a day- long Wellness Day, complete with a variety of health related classes, various types of body work, healthy eating and drumming.

Dream Makers

The Dream Makers Theme Team has been in existence to fulfill individual dreams of folks who are a part of the Re-Focus family, by raising funds and awarding various dream grants at the agency annual holiday party. Eighty to ninety folks supported by Re-Focus, benefit each year from the fundraising activities of the Dream Makers. The fundraising activities have included a Spring Dinner Dance, Car Wash, Direct-Mail Campaign, Raffles, Dinner Train Ride and a Yard Sale. Our goal for the future is to increase the amount of money we raise each year for the Dream Grant Program so that we may be able to increase the amount of the Dream Grants from $500. to $1,000.

Mission Fish

The general goal of the Mission Fish Theme Team is to incorporate the fish philosophy into Re-Focus' mission.

Staff Recruitment Theme Team

To enhance the work of Re-Focus' human resource department by continually and effectively recruiting qualified applicants who are able to meet the agency's hiring standards. Potential applicants must possess a good sense of personal character and integrity as well as have a willingness to live the mission.

Telling Our Story

The objective of this theme team is to assist the folks in telling their stories in a movie format and to emphasize the unique talents and strengths of each individual on whom we are making a movie. Once completed, these movies will be utilized as training tools for new staff members.

Rainbow Activities

The goal of this team is to offer and create opportunities for adult activities by uniting and integrating individuals whom we support with Re-Focus and the community.

Cost Busters

The general goal of the Cost Buster Team is to save money and find new ways of being more cost-effective.
